"Good morning," Draco drawled as he walked into the kitchen, "Ready for another day at work?"
Harry looked up from his coffee, "Yep. Ready as ever." He smiled at his work and life partner, before pulling two slices of bread out of the bread box.
"Whatcha doin?" Draco asked as he poured himself a cup of coffee.
"Making a sandwich for lunch. The cafeteria food at the Ministry sucks." Harry dipped the knife in the peanut butter and began to spread it across the bread.
His moves and stroke were so careful, long, and precise, that Draco began transfixed as he watched. Draco watched the knife gently move across the peanut butter, until he finally blurted, "Why are you being so careful?"
Harry looked up again, "I don't know. I guess I like my peanut butter smooth and precise. Tastes better." He shrugged and placed the top half of the bread onto its mate.
Draco rolled his eyes, "You're weird."
"Is that why you married me?" Harry teased.
"Nope. I married you because I couldn't find anyone better." Draco had to duck to miss Harry's arm that had playfully swiped at his head. But as soon as he up-righted, Harry's fist connected softly, but firmly into Draco's chest, "Ow?"
Harry shrugged the incident off, "Have you seen the Invisibility cloak?"
"Not since last night. Maybe it's still up in our room." Draco gestured towards the stairs with his coffee cup. Harry nodded and dashed up the stairs. As soon as he was gone, Draco picked up the peanut butter sandwich and took a very large bite. The peanut butter made it hard to chew and the sizable bite was giving him problems. But he just worked harder; he'd had more sizable things in his mouth before.
"What're you doing?" Harry asked from the doorway; cloak in hand.
"You're right," Draco swallowed hard and smiled devilishly, "It DOES taste better."
