Every Tear She Drops

Her tears were like the waterfall's gushing waters. So enchanting. So mesmerizing. So beautiful. He hated it. He hated seeing her cry. He especially hated being the cause of it.

Tears sprung from brown eyes, cascading down the woman's porcelain cheeks as she scanned the crowd at the train station looking for a certain tuft of pink.

He was supposed to be back days ago, what happened to him?

He shouldn't have taken that stupid S-Class mission...

Stupid Natsu.

Stupid Happy.

Stupid Lucy.

Six whole months he was gone, save a remote island-village, the poster had said.

"I'll be back before ya know it, Lucy!" he had said.

"Try not to miss me so much!" Happy had said.

"You wish I would, you stupid alley cat!" she had said.

Sigh.

She missed them so much. Him. Lucy was stupid for letting him go on that stupid mission without telling him how she felt. Heck, she was stupid for even falling in love with him! Wait, love? Pft, she didn't love that baka! No way in hell did she love that strong, sexy, funny, and dorky dragon slayer. No way in hell.

He skimmed through the crowd as he perched on a bench looking for a crown of blonde. He even had Happy looking for her. He could smell her here. The intoxicating scent that can only be known as Lucy Heartfilia's was here and ever so overpowering just like he had remembered. And she was waiting for him.

But there was another scent mingling with hers. This one was salty, definitely a liquid. Tears?

He quickly jumped off the bench and ran towards the direction of the scent.

The scent quickly took over every sense in his body as he approached the source like his life depended on it. Soon enough, a blonde woman with brown eyes who looked disheveled as hell came into view. He had sported his famous toothy grin upon seeing her but it soon faltered into a frown as he noticed her tears that went into overdrive when she caught sight of him.

"You idiot!" She screamed running into his arms causing him to hold her around her shoulders on instinct; holding her tight because this was real. She was really with him, she was really here. He was really here. Home in Magnolia. He tenderly ran his hands through her hair and prepared for the onslaught of tongue-lashing from the woman in his arms.

"You stupid, stupid, stupid dragon slayer! Do you know how worried I was? What took you so long? You idiot! Where's Happy? Dammit Nats-"

"I had Happy look for you, looks like he isn't doing his job," Lucy coudn't help but giggle and at his attempt of humor, sniffling as her tears died down; having calmed her down, he continued, "We got caught up in a snowstorm on the way here, I'm sorry I worried ya, Lucy," She tried to wriggle out of his hold only for him to encase her tightly, "I know I'm an idiot, Lucy but I'm an idiot for you." At this he held her even tighter than thought possible and tilted her chin with his fingers to face him, just in time to catch a flaming crimson blush dusted on her cheeks, mouth parted in surprise. He just grinned at Lucy. His Lucy.

"Natsu, what are y-" She wasn't able to finish her question as he descended upon her lips and ravished it with his own. Too caught up in her surprise to even think straight, she hurried to break free from him but he only held her tighter to his body. Coming to her senses, she quickly gave in and fluttered her eyes closed as she savored the moment with Natsu Dragneel of all people.
