Ducks and Desks

Chika had always liked cute things, but he never indulged because of that fool of a brother he had, Honey. Honey took liking cute things to a new level of crazy. Chika was afraid of becoming like Honey, of becoming weak.

So Chika went about it in a way that wasn't necessarily right, wearing glasses he didn't need and being uncommonly rude and moody.

But ever since Honey had left for America and Satoshi and he had created the Petting Zoo Club, Chika had found himself indulging in cute. He was becoming like his brother.

He wore his glasses less and less. His eyes filled with tears at the sight of chicks or anything else fuzzy and fluffy. He…

He…

He thought Satoshi was cute and his cousin knew it.

Satoshi, his cousin. The boy who beat him up when he was rude and adored his older brother, almost sickeningly.

The boy he…

He didn't finish that thought, but he still knew where it went.

Chika walked through the hallway like he owned it, which he did more and more with the host club gone. He didn't always get respect from men, but all the women fawned over him.

It actually got pretty annoying. Especially when he was assumed to be just like his stupid older shorter brother.

That alien. In no way were they anything alike!

1. Chika hated sweets.

2. Chika would never carry around a stuffed animal.

3. Chika would never let Satoshi baby him.

4. Chika hated cute-

Okay. A little alike.

School was about to go on break, and Chika was headed back towards his classroom to fetch Satoshi. He was excited; the cousins were traveling out of country.

Chika bumped into a first year girl and spent long enough helping her retrieve her books, that when he looked up, Satoshi was standing outside with a girl, smiling and laughing, and at his most sparkly, the way he was usually only around the family, especially Chika and his older brother, Takashi.

Chika found himself suddenly mad and stormed past in a rage, racing, well, racing as best as one can through a crowded hallway, to an unused classroom.

"Yasuchika!"

"Go away," Chika snapped.

"What's the matter, huh?"

"You were being all sparkly with her. You never are with girls."

"Chika…" Satoshi leaned against the doorway, eyeing Chika, who was sitting miserably on a desk. Satoshi had one hand behind his back.

"I hate you! You're so…so…Hmm."

"Oh, yeah. Uh-huh. Keep going." He hid a smile.

Chika looked up, noticing his tone. "Bastard."

"I have something for you." Satoshi swished in. "Something cute."

Chika crossed his arms and turned away. "I don't care."

"Really?" Satoshi appeared in front of Chika, cupping a little yellow duckling in his hands.

Tears welled up in Chika's eyes and he took hold of the baby, softly rubbing its feathers.

"Chika?"

"Yes?" He couldn't take his eyes away from the little sweet thing.

"You never have any need to be jealous."

"I don't?"

Satoshi took the duckling away, letting it into a cage right outside the door. "No, of course not." He moved closer to Chika, cupping his face. "You should know by now, dumby. I love you, Yasuchika." Satoshi leaned down and kissed Chika's lips, his tongue sliding in.

Chika pulled back, the same mischievous smile that Honey could get playing around his lips. "Satoshi?"

"Yes?"

"We're in here alone."

"Yes."

"And no one will be in here for another week."

"Yes."

"And I'm on a desk."

"Yes." Satoshi raised his eyebrows, trying to figure out where this was going.

"So…" Chika grinned.

"I always wanted to get head on a desk."
