iron miss
she almost wants him to protest.
"are you coming?"
"no, i'm staying here until the park is clear."
maybe it's because she's a woman. or maybe it's because she is a powerful woman. people think that because they are the CEO's, the tough people, that they can make the decisions with style and grace and ability and the horrible part is that they do. because if they don't, they are incompetent. if they aren't calm and collected and beautiful, then they are less than good enough.
so she almost wants the security guard to protest. just this once. to tell her that, "no, ms. potts you really should evacuate with the other civilians."
but it's her expo now.
stark expo. and she'll own up to it. but, in this moment of weakness, she wants to be treated like the damsel in distress, because it means someone knows her well enough, someone cares enough to tell her that it's okay, because even if she didn't ask for all of this responsibility she is still human, not indestructible iron, and it's okay to want to be treated as such.
she stays though. of course.
