Wild Alters
It was a cold day in Savannah GA, of 2013. The EMS explorers' were there at the local Asylum to train. Once there we were split into two groups and sent to engendered wings. As we met the nurse, Mrs. Janice sent me to a room. Little did I know who I'd find.
"Who's the patient here?" I asked
"I don't know her name, but she suffers from multiple personality disorder." The nurse said. I entered the room to find a woman in the corner. She was growling and tense. Even so she was familiar. The dirt obscuring her face and close covering her tattoos I knew. Her pregnant belly and sickly appearance gave her away. It was Melanie.
"Aunt Mel is that you? It's me Angel." I said getting closer to her.
"itten? Ank oodness, it Unt Mary.(Kitten? Thank goodness, it's Aunt Mary.)" She replied weakly. Suddenly her eyes snapped shut. When she opened them again, she was silent. Suddenly she began to sign frantically. Her shy action gave her away. It was Alexis.
"Aunt Lexi, its ok, slow down." I said signing to her.
"I'm sorry. This place scares me is all." She signed weakly.
"Wait why are you scared?" I asked signing to her.
"The doctors hurt us." She signed weakly. Her eyes shut tight. Suddenly they opened again. This time she gave me a hug in seconds. There was no mistaking who it was, it was Melanie.
"Angel, ank oodness u're ere. Ese ack octors r orturing s. (Angel thank goodness you're here. These quack doctors are torturing us.)" She said weakly.
"I'm getting you out of here." I said.
"ease ey're ocking s, nd I anna o ome. (please they're shocking us and I wanna go home.)" She said weakly.
