"Sherlock?"
"What do you want John, I'm busy?"
"Can you dance?"
"What?
"Can you dance. Like, slow dancing."
"Yes, why?"
"I have to learn for the wedding and I need a teacher."
"Then hire a teacher John, I'm busy."
"Sherlock please, for me. I really need you to do this for me. Please? For me?"
"Fine, come here"
Sherlock led John to the middle of the living room and showed him where to place his hands. And then he started to dance. John slowly got the hang of the steps and the rhythm that Sherlock set. " Now with music." Sherlock commanded. John noticed the gruffness in his voice, but all he could think about was Sherlock. His hands on John's back shoulder. His breath on John's neck. The way Sherlock was leading him, step by step, in perfect sync with the music, while slowly letting John take over. It was the most intense feeling John had felt in a long time, even when he was with Mary. It felt like, well, he really didn't know.
"John!"
"Huh?! What?"
"I said, do you want to learn how to do the dip? God John you know how much I hate repeating myself!"
"Um yeah Sherlock, I guess."
Sherlock took John's hand and spun him around, placed his other hand on his back and dipped him.
"And this is where you kiss her John"
Sherlock's voice was the deepest, most seductive thing John had ever heard. He could feel his blood start to boil and his heart start to race.
"What are you boys up to now?"
The arrival of Mrs. Hudson was both a surprise and a relief to John, because it saved him from any more awkwardness between himself and Sherlock.
"Sherlock was-"
"I was just teaching John how to dance. For the wedding"
The cold, collected sharpness had replaced the smooth seduction John had just heard. It hurt, just a little bit. But, that's how things are with Sherlock. He can figure out your life story with one look, but, he can't even begin to understand how you feel. Thats life with a high functioning sociopath.
