Disclaimer: I can't draw a stick figure to save my life. Let's leave it at that.

4:45

His father died at 4:44.

The- well- 'execution' of sorts was supposed to take place at 4:45. But the actual killing was ahead.

4:44

It was then that Hyuuga Neji's life had stopped.

He was only four.

The number of death.

It was then that Neji decided that Fate hated him. Why else would it have ended his father's life at such an inasupicious time? Surely Fate was teasing him, cruelly, toying with him.

The last time his father ever talked to him was to tell him to become a great ninja. So Neji trained, and pushed.

He never really figured out the other thing his father told him.

He met her at thirty seconds past 4:44.

That was the first time he ever really paid attention to Tenten. She was nameless, just another face in the crowd. Despite being Top Kunoichi and and second in class- to him, of course- he had never really acknowledged her.

Until he found out she'd been assigned to his team.

He didn't realize it at the time, but that was when his life slowly, sluggishly began moving forward again. And as they grew closer, he began to realize what his father had meant.

Become a powerful ninja, Neji, but remember that even the most powerful shinobi must have what is most important.

At fifty-six seconds past 4:44, on a dark morning, six years after he'd met her, he told her he loved her.

At fifty-nine past 4:44 on the same morning, she told him she loved him.

And at 4:45 on that morning, Hyuuga Neji's life started again.

Every single time I look at the clock in my Language Arts class, it's either 2:44 or 2:45. Which is really, really creepy.
...
I'm not cursed at all. Cough.

Anyways.
This is just a short... thingy... I came up with randomly.
