"I don't understand this thing that you call love, so tell me the reason why you love me? Tell me, when I am a monster and very much undeserving of your love, when in a heartbeat I could end up killing you and not give a scant of care," said Gaara. "Explain to me how such an innocent and pure being like you able to love me."
Reaching to cup his face, Hinata could only smile albeit sadly. Taking a deep breath she began, "I cannot fully explain the reason why I love you. There are so many things I want to tell you, so many that I can't even begin to explain it. I think that words would fail me if I do try to explain, after all there are things that cannot be explained through words alone.
"All I know is whenever I think of you, my heart beats so loud I'm almost certain that everyone can hear it. I'm always happy around you, and I don't like the thought of you being hurt. I like being with you. Besides if you truly cannot love⦠Will you let me love you? If you cannot truly give love, then I will provide enough for the two of us."
Gaara could only stare at her eyes, searching for lies but cannot found one. They stood gazing at each other for what seems like hours but were merely a few minutes. Surprisingly, it was Gaara who looked away first, unable to face the intensity in Hinata's eyes. Turning away, Gaara knew then that his answer was already made even before he uttered it. The odd duo stood, with the male looking at the moon and the girl looking at his back.
After a few moments, Gaara turned back to Hinata and gazed deeply into her eyes. As Hinata stared back, she saw something akin to affection in his eyes before vanishing as quickly as it came. When he reached for her hands Hinata braced herself for his answer.
"Okay."
