Prologue
-End of the school year-
Paul and Paige where the closed a boy and girl could get. Friends for as long as either of them could remember. Paul was about to finish high school while Paige had a couple more years left. Paige didn't have any siblings and after her mom died it was just her and her dad. Paul lived just down the road and his mom had been friends with Paige's. Paul was the strong silent type, he was quiet protective over Paige and his younger sister, Annie. Paige was equally as shy but hated the way Paul treated her as if she was a child. They spent every moment they could together both at school and after. Nothing and no-one seemed able to brake up there friendship. But everything seemed to change a couple of months before Paul was meant to graduate. Paul was missing large gaps of school due to bad health and even on the days he seemed better he refused to talk to her or even answer her phone calls. It was beginning to worry her. The night before graduation Paul finally came back to school but everyone could see that he was very, very different. He had bulked up, he cut off his hair and had got this strange tattoo on his arm.
'Hey Paul.' Paige greeted him warmly as she normally did at his locker. Instead of saying hello back he looked at her blankly and continued cleaning up the rest of his locker.
'I was just wondering you know your parents are having that dinner thing for you tonight and I was thinking about whether or not I should like bring some cakes over or something. Do you think your mom needs any help?' She asked but he continued to not answer.
'Paul, is everything alright?' She said a little louder. She was really worried for him.
'Are you even listening to me?' Paige was getting annoyed. The heat of anger raising up into her cheeks. 'Paul?'
'What?!' He yelled in her face.
'Sorry if I offended you I was just asking a simple question.' She said shocked at his reaction.
'You don't understand.' He said under his breath.
'Understand what? Come on Paul talk to me. I know you.' She said stepping closer to him; lightly placing her hand on top of his shoulder.
'NO! You don't no one does!" He screamed, shrugging her hand off.
'What are you talking about?' Paige asked softly.
'You don't get it! You never have and you never will!' He yelled in her face.
'Never have? But...' Paige didn't understand what was going on. Who was this person she thought she knew so well?
'Oh Paige don't humiliate yourself just cause I'm your only friend does mean that your mine!' Paul screamed. A crowd was gather and Paige could begin to feel the blush rise to her cheeks.
'This isn't you.' Paige said fighting tears back.
'IT IS NOW!' Paul ripped around too fast. Too fast for Paige to move, too fast for her to see his arm as it connected with her shoulder. Paige wasn't very tall and Paul had always picked on her for that. Paul, with his new found strength didn't release that he could hit her, let alone throw her backwards through the air. She hit the locker across the hallway with a sickening crunch. Paige's scream echoed off the silent bodies standing in the passage way. Paul quickly dropped his bag to the ground and rushed to Paige's side. There was blood slowly seeping into her cream white shirt. 'Someone get the nurse!' Paul yelled to anyone who would listen.
'How...how could you?' Paige said with tears streaming down her face.
'I...I didn't mean to... I...Paige.' Paul studded to understand himself. He begin to shake, shake so violently that he couldn't move. He felt hot and itchy and so confused. What was going on? Was it going to happen now? But Sam said. Sam said... He couldn't stay. He had to leave and now! Paul ran. He ran though the hallway and out the backdoor of the school. Across the oval and into the surrounding forest. He didn't look back. He just ran.
He was running away. Away from her and away from everything. How could he do that to her? The pain in Paige's shoulder was to strong, she couldn't speack and before long she blacked out.
-A few years later-

The wicked smile that had found a home on my lips presented itself as I walked down the hallway. Everyone moves out of the way; naturally. I've never really had to be very mean to anyone. I guess I could thank Paul for that. I was the first victim of the La Push gang. What a ridiculous reason. What a ridiculous name. There just a bunch of stupid boys who dropped out of school. It might also do with my stint in hospital with a coma followed by the summer vacation spent in Seattle depression rehabilitation. Or that every since I have only wore black and still haven't really talked to anyone. Contributing factors we'll call them. But now that's over. And thank God. Bring on college. Portland here I come. Now I just have to make it through one last summer vacation in La Push.

There is nothing like walking into a room filled with the fresh scent of bacon. Thank God for Emily and her heavenly cooking.
A/N: Okay, quickly, This is after Breaking Dawn, so Seth, Collin and Brady are the only ones still in High School but that bit you really didn't need to know. Oh and one last thing Jacob, Leah and Seth got back with the other pack, I don't really know how but they just did so deal with it.
And yes this is a re-write. Have got back into it but since then have also got a new laptop so unfortunately lost the ending and other stories leading up to it.
Thanks for reading! :D
