Hey! :3 Thanks for reading my first Fic! ~Axel 8-8

Namine shuffled around the hidden lab, desperately searching for that book. She huffed as the stack of papers fell to the floor. She bent over to pick them up, whispering softly to herself, "I can make it out…"

Namine jumped as a book fell into the lab area. "I'm kinda working here-" she froze. A tall man with flame-red hair stood behind her, wide eyed. "It's you..." he gasped. A tear fell down her face and she hugged him tight. "It's you..."

All her life, Namine had thought that no one could understand her. She felt alone, and the world seemed pleased with her suffering. She sat up in bed, breathing in the stale forest air. Another school day, where Kairi and her bratty friends would call her names and piss her off until she's crying in the girl's bathroom.

She sighed and got out of bed to get ready. Pulling on her simple white dress and blue sandals, she ran for the door. She stopped half-way out the door to turn around and grab her sketchbook, the closest thing she had to a diary. On her way to school, Kairi spotted her.

"Where are you going, you ho?" Kairi sneered. Namine ignored her, like she always did, and continued walking. "Hey! I'm talking to you!" Namine felt a hand grab her arm and spin her around. Kairi smelled like she had taken a bath in perfume. "I asked, where are you going, you ho?" Namine bit her lip, afraid to speak.

"Would you leave her alone!" a boy's voice cried. Kairi turned, and Namine could see a red-haired boy with emerald eyes glaring at Kairi. "Oh, are you her bodyguard? I didn't know hot boys like you hung with girls like her." Kairi smiled at him. "I don't hang out with people like you, Kairi." He turned to Namine. "I'm Lea. Got it memorized?" he winked.

Namine swallowed a scream and nodded her head. "He seems nice." She thought. Kairi sighed and let Namine go. "Hurry up to school, or I will tell the teachers about your little sketchbook and its inappropriate drawings." Namine turned and ran the rest of the way to school before remembering to thank the boy. "Thanks Lea." She said to herself. "Maybe we could be friends…"
