"Daddy, tell me a story!" Maddy giggles climbing up into Cyclop's lap, all ready for bed.

He smiles, unable to say no to his little girl. "One story, then it's bedtime, okay Maddy?" She nods vigorously, as only a three year old can at the prospect of her daddy telling her a bedtime story.

"Once upin a time there was a beautiful princess, she had fiery red hair, and an attitude to match. She was having nightmars, and on in her kingdom could calm them. After a few months of these, her father, the king sent for magicians from kingdoms near and far to help his daughter sleep peacefully. Magician after magician came promising to cure the princess, all failed. As the Kind and his daughter began to lose hope in these magicians, one final magician came. He had this air of confidence about him that none of the others had possessed.

'Sir, I am a mighty magician from the kingdom Sanders, I have heard of your daughters troubles and thing I have a solution.'

The king at first did not trust this magician for he and the king of Sanders had once both fallen for his queen, but finally for the sake of his favorite daughter he allowed this magician a chance to help.

'A kiss from her true love shall solve all' the magician says mysteriously, as he steps forward and kisses the princess.

The king has him sent to the dungeon. That night, for the first time in a very very long time the princess sleeps peacefully. The king sends for this magician.

'Who are you?' he asks.

'I am Prince Lancelot, son of King James. Destined love of your daughter, Princess Madalin'

Within days the princess and her magician prince are married, to live happily ever after."

Scott looks down at his daughter, whose asleep in his lap. "Maddy, you will live happily ever after one day, Princess."

Maddy sat on the couch next to her father, and looked over at Lance, across the room. "Daddy,This is it" she beams at him.

"Maddy…" Scott says softly, "do you remember our bedtime story?"

She nods. "The story of the Princess and her Magician Princess." She glances once more to her future husband and smirks, then looks at her father. "how could I forget Daddy?"

"I told you that story every night for years." He smiles. "Tomorrow? It is your happily ever after." He helps his daughter up and walks her over to Lance "Just as I told you, you would always have."

Scott walks out leaving the couple to think. Lance smiles, pulling her against his chest and resting his chin on her head.

"So. Now what Mads?"

She kisses him and whispers softly, "We live happily ever after?"
