Disclaimer: I do own a tiny little Poro-plushi, but not this series.
Note- This is a little after Ken becomes good, but he's still in his depressed stage, so bear with me.
---------
It was a dark and ever so slightly rainy night and most sane beings that knew the human world were inside. But, a small green insect digimon was outside contemplating things.
Like whether or not his mast- friend would ever get out of his sad and hopeless state. After all her had changed, he was no longer the digimon Kaiser, no, he was just a lonely boy. Who was hurting.
Wormmon had left Ken a few hours ago after the boy had fallen asleep crying again.
"Oh, it's not your fault…." The little digimon whispered to himself as he hid under some bushes in a small park about five minutes from Ken's house.
"Hey! What are you doing here?"
Wormmon looked out of the bushes a little to look above at a tree where there was a small pink thing, with big eyes and tiny wings.
Poromon.
The little worm digimon was too shocked to say anything to the pink ball of energy, and who could blame him?
"I said,' what are you doing here'?"
To get him to answer this question was punctuated by Poromon flying over to the distressed little green worm.
"I-I-I'm just thinking." He said with a blush forming on his face.
Poromon shook some of the water from her(?) feathers as she sat next to Wormmon, trying to stay out of reach of the rain.
"Why would you be thinking out here in the rain when you could be inside, nice and dry?"
Wormmon thought about that for a second, his blush getting even bigger,"Well, I didn't know it would rain and I don't want to go home just yet."
"Why not?"
Wormmon sighed trying to think of an answer that would fit what he was feeling.
"Well, Ken's been really down lately and I don't know how to make him feel better about himself. So, I thought that if I went for a walk to clear my head I could think of something."
Poromon looked at him for a while, before responding,"That's no good. You should just tell him to get over himself and cheer up. It's that simple."
"It's not that easy, Ken's delicate right now and I don't want him to feel worse than he already does."
Poromon crossed her wings over her chest,"Look, it's better to tell him the truth than to let him wallow in his misery. He has to face the truth, no matter how much it hurts."
"But-"
"I'm not saying you have to shove the fact that he killed so many digimon down his throat, I'm saying that you should just tell him that mistakes were made and that if he feels remorseful, than that's all in the past. If others already forgive him then he can forgive himself."
Wormmon was speechless for a moment. This little bird knew how to give good advice, but there was still something that was bothering him.
"Other's forgive him?"
"Yes."
"Who?"
"Well, yourself, and I think Davis, Yolei does… and I do, too."
It was Poro's turn to blush as she finished this statement.
Wormmon wasn't sure what to say, but he was sure that this little pink bird had made his night, his week, his month.
"Thank you so much for saying that." He said with tears of joy forming in his eyes.
Poromon gave him a small hug,"Don't mention it."
She completed the statement by giving him a small peck on the cheek.
They stayed like that for the rest of the night, until the rain passed and the stars came out, smiling on the two digimon as Poromon whispered a lullaby Yolei had taught her.
"Little birds
Singing in the sycamore tree,
Dream
a little dream
And whisper,
'I love you.'
Today."

A/N: I know it's dull and
sorta pointless, but I still had fun writing it.
