Just a dream.

Molly wasn't sure where she was, though she knew one thing for sure, it was beautiful. It was bright and happy. The greenest grass grew underneath her feet, the trees were graceful and the whisper of their leaves filled the small clearing with a form of music accompanied by the tinkling of the creek.

The whole place filled her with wonder.

She wasn't sure why she was here but she knew she was waiting for something. With a mental shrug she sat in the soft grass and leaned against the tree truck. Closing her eyes she opened her senses to the smells and sounds.

She could smell the warm earth and the fresh grass. She let the sun warm her eye lids and listened to the melody of nature.

She wasn't sure when but she opened her eyes as something changed. Standing she looked around for that change. Along a path that Molly hadn't spotted before walked a figure.

Even from a distance Molly could tell she was beautiful. Red hair framed a face with expressive green eyes.

Molly's breath caught in her throat.

"Hello Molly." Lilly Potter said with her warm smile that lit up her whole face. "It's been a while."

"I'm not…" Molly trailed off.

"No. You are not dead. I merely brought you here. I have thanks to give and a promise to make." Lilly said.

Molly nodded, still confused.

"This place is stunning." Molly observed.

"It is." Lilly agreed. Looking around her. Molly was struck by how good she looked. At peace.

"It looks like our families might be joining soon." Lilly said brightly, " Harry came to tell us last week. Talked for hours. She is good for him. She makes him smile." Lilly said. "That is my first thanks."

"It is all Ginny." Molly said with pride in her voice at her youngest daughter. "And he makes her smile, too."

Lilly nodded.

"Thanks for allowing your Ronald to help him." Lilly said staring into the creek. "He could not have accomplished anything without his friendship."

Molly had nodded.

"Thanks for showing Harry what it is like to have a mother that loves him." Lilly said, her heart in her eyes. "Thanks for loving him, guiding and protecting him, when I couldn't."

Molly let the silence continue as Lilly mourned all the things she had missed. It broke her heart to just think about missing all those things with her own children. How this young woman had suffered.

"And in return I will tell you that your Fred has my protection. I will help him adjust and guide him. James and I will be stand behind him and comfort him as you did for our son." Lilly promised.

Molly felt her eyes fill with tears. Lilly came and embraced her as both women cried for their sons.

Together they helped heal the holes in each others hearts.

"He sends his love." Lilly said after they had broken apart and stood looking at each other once more.

"Tell him that I'm proud of him." Molly said.

"he knows." Lilly said.

"Tell him anyway."

"Of course."

They'd sat in peaceful silence for a few moments before Lilly spoke.

"Tell him that we love him. And we're so proud of him."

"He knows. But I'll tell him."

"And tell your Ginny we love her. We're glad to have her as a daughter."

Molly's eyes misted over as she nodded.

"It was good to see you again Lilly."

"We will meet again." Lilly said as Molly's surrounding began to fade.

Molly awoke, in the morning, feeling at peace. Her son had some of the best people helping his adjust. Things were good. She would see her family again. But for now she had her own life to live.
