I sat quietly in the shaded corner of the sunlit room that I had been in. The room in question was a cell and I've been imprisoned for… actually how long have I been in here? As I tried to recall the time spent in this dank cell a noise echoed nearby. I looked up from the ground and stared blankly at the questionable object that had fell through the crack in the roof. Actually now that I look closer, it isn't an object, but a body. A corpse to be exact, but the corpse wasn't important, it was what was around its neck. A key covered in rust, it almost seemed too good to be true. Realizing that bodies don't just fall from the sky, my head darted up to see the person who had rescued me from my imprisonment. The sunlight blinded me and all I could see was his shadow. The shadow nodded his head at me in encouragement then disappeared. I snatched the key as a thief would snatch gold from the waist of a king.

Pushing the key into the keyhole on the door it clicked as did my mind. Without thinking I sprinted out into the stone hallway and hastily climbed a nearby ladder that would've taken me out of this depressing prison. At the top of the ladder was a courtyard and yet another door. This door was giant as if it were made for someone ten times my size. I struggled to force the door open with much success. The door swung open, kicking up dust into the air and into my eyes. i stumbled through anxiously awaiting my freedom. The room, much like the door, was colossal, with a cracked roof that let in the sunlight. On the other side of the room was an almost exact copy of the door I had just pushed open, one could only assume that this was the exit. As I dashed over to the door on the other side of the room I looked up into the sunlight, almost as if i was thanking it for the freedom that was given to me. Without warning the sky darkened and I stopped dead in my tracks. There something wrong, why has the sky darkened? Thats when I realized that it wasn't the sky, but something else. Shit, its a god damn giant monster!I look over to my left and see another door wide open. I don't have time to open the giant door so I quickly turned left. My foot slipped and I fell onto my knee. Fuck the only chance I have is if I roll out of the-

A loud slam echoed into the large room as the Asylum Demon fell from the ceiling. The demon scanned the room trying to find its target, but it was quiet. Realizing that it was alone in the room the Asylum Demon spread its wings and made its way back to the roof of the building.
