Kagome jumped back from a large claw, and let loose another arrow, even as two hands pulled her back, away from the monster.
"Kagome!" Inuyasha exclaimed, "are you alright?"
"Yeah," she said, standing. "I'm fine. But, I wont miss again." There was blurred confusion in Inuyasha's eyes, and then, he understood. He situated Tessaiga in his hands, and pulled Kagome onto his back. Kagome wiped the tears from her eyes as her eyes fell upon the mangled remains of their friends, who had died trying to save Inuyasha and Kagome from their own early demise. She shook her head and whispered the words only audible to Inuyasha.
This one's for you guys.
She held on tightly to Inuyasha's shoulders and gasped lightly as she was jerked into the air for the last time. Kagome. The moster attacked, and Inuyasha countered it with the Bakuryuuha. Kagome. The monster countered the even larger blast in a mock ping-pong game. Except this was life or death. Kagome. Inuyasha cast the Bakuryuuha yet again to this blast, and Kagome let her arrow fly, even as she felt her clothes dissentigrate into the blast. Kagome!
She never knew if she hit her target or not.
In a flash, Kagome sat up, staring into Inuyasha's lavendar eyes, which were currently filled with concern for his wife.
"Kagome," he asked, "are you okay? You were having a nightmare."
At first, Kagome was confused, but then, she remembered the day she met Inuyasha, when they were still kids, their first kiss, the day they were married, the day before, when she had found out she was pregnant.
"Kagome," Inuyasha repeated, "are you alright?"
But, even then, the details of her dream were dissapating, leaving her with nothing more than a shadow of a memory. She smiled at her husband.
"Yeah, I'm alright. It was only a dream."
A/N: Okay, I dunn0o if you guys got it or not, but if you didn't, I'm not ruining the surprise!
