Hi guys!
I'm back with yet another fic - same format as Maybe Baby, and a sequel to it. It was intended to be just a prologue, really, but I thought, why not? So a sequel it is. All you'll need to know is that it's set three months after Cuddy gave birth to Alice. I hope you like where I've decided to take this story, let me know. :-D
Oh, and happy holidays!
Chapter One
He was avoiding her.
She's asked him what was going on, twice. And twice he had assured her everything was fine and that she was imagining things, so she let go. But, as the days went on, his behavior was getting odder and odder. He'd stay up late and join her in bed way after she drifted to sleep and get up before she even woke up. His excuse: Rachel needed to go to school or Alice was crying and he wanted her to rest because she'd be back to work soon and then wouldn't be getting any. As much as she appreciated his attentions, she missed him, and he wasn't making it any easier.
After a week, she'd arrived to the conclusion he didn't want her anymore. As she looked at her silhouette in the mirror, she thought he had all the rights to. She sighed and swallowed back her tears, zipping up her new dress – one that fit her new morphology. She studied herself in the mirror: her straight hair, the makeup she carefully put on for the occasion, the way her black dress hugged her curves – generous but not protruding. The extra weight of the pregnancy had almost completely vanished, leaving only generous breasts and larger hips that somewhat made her more feminine.
Once she was satisfied with the result enough to get out, she headed to the kitchen to join him, taking one last glimpse in the mirror. Yeah, she wasn't looking that bad. But then, why was he barely looking at her?
