"Oatmeal."

"What?" Santana asked groggily, peeling page 211 of her textbook from her cheek.

"Oatmeal," Brittany stated, with more certainty.

"Mmmkay, Britt, that's nice," Santana mumbled, resting her head in her arms without opening her eyes.

"That's what my brain feels like, San, it feels goopy and sticky, and like it might start dribbling out my ear. It feels like oatmeal cooked with too much water… instant though… the kind almost like baby food, not the good kind."

"Old fashioned?"

"Yeah, not that one. I don't think I can study any more tonight."

"S'okay, Britt, we'll take a nap. I'll set my alarm." Santana said, eyes barely open, already pulling Brittany towards her bed.

"You know what would be good? Gummy bears in oatmeal. That would be awesome."

Santana couldn't help but laugh as she pulled back the sheets, "Definitely more original than brown sugar."

"Mmhmm," Brittany agreed. "And rainbow sprinkles."

Santana pulled Brittany into bed with her and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek. "Sleep," she whispered.

"And dinosaur eggs, and…" Brittany trailed off as she fell asleep.
