Author's Note: Okay, it's an Asha/Alec fic, well kinda.

Alec slowly walked through Crash. The crowd was thin, and he didn't bump into to many people as he made his way to the bar. He ordered a beer and looked around the place. In the corner sat Asha, with a beer as her only company. Alec shook his head at the thought that popped into his head; Asha didn't even like him so why should he go out of his way to be nice to her? Probably because all this being nice stuff was rubbing off on him. Alec shrugged off the thought and sat at the bar sipping his beer. He looked over his shoulder again, and he noticed Asha was crying, not that a normal person would notice but she was crying. That broke Alec's resolve, he jumped off the bar stool and made for Asha's table. His pace slowed as he reached her and she looked up at him, "Want some company?" Alec asked in his usual cool tone.
"Not really." Asha replied just as coolly back, trying to mask her tears and doing a surprisingly good job at it.
"Are you sure? I mean, if I was a woman sitting in a bar alone crying I'd want company."
"I wasn't crying and I don't want company." Asha snapped; Alec sat down anyway. "I said I didn't want company Alec. Anyway don't you have to go get a lap dance somewhere?"
"Nope, gave up on strippers, too easy. I need a woman who'll challenge me. How'd you know about that stripper thing anyway?"
"Max told Logan and Logan told me. So let me guess, you're after Max now?"
"No way. That woman is a psycho. She's also practically my sister. Why do you think I'd go after her?"
"You said you wanted a challenge, anyway I didn't think things like that would stop a playa like you Alec."
"Oh yeah, incest and getting my ass kicked really gets me going." Alec said rolling his eyes. "Anyway I prefer blondes." Asha ignored that comment.
"So, how come you never wrote my number down?"
"I play for keeps Alec. You don't."
"Is that why you pine after Cale? You think he's a sure bet?"
"I don't want to talk about this." Asha said starting to get up. Alec handed her a piece of paper and got up himself.
"Maybe if it's the right girl, I'll play for keeps too." He said and walked away, leaving Asha a little dumb struck. She slowly unfolded the paper and read it. Alec's phone number. She crumpled it up and was going to throw it over her shoulder, and then she slipped it into her pocket. Across the room out of sight, Alec smiled.
