What is a haiku?

Haiku is a form of Japanese poetry that is comprised by using a certain number of syllables. A haiku consists of three lines. The first line has five syllables, the second seven, and the third again with five. They are more poetic when you don't make the lines rhyme.


1. Dog ears and sharp claws/Fangs and golden eyes also/InuYasha has.

2. There he goes again/As arrogant as ever/I say sit boy! SIT!

3. A man of the cloth/His stroking hand spells lecher/This is Miroku.

4 A woman with strength/Who wields that huge hairukotsu/Sango joins the troop.

5. Myoga the flea/Coward yes, but smart he is/Damn that arthritis!

6. It was so tragic/Kikyo's gravesite defiled/She is reborn now.

7. The demons of Hell/Make your home inside of me/I am Naraku.

8. Kikyo's aide in much/Kaede heals many wounds/She puts doubts to rest.

9. Pulled inside a well/Feudal era of Japan/Kagome's new life.

10. Companion she is/Kirara is ever strong/Faithful to the end.

11. Foxfire and tricks/Shippo can't help but be fun/The cute little tyke!

12. How I can control/The wind - manipulate it/That's me, Kagura.

13. Kanna is the void/Please look inside my mirror/Feel my true power.

14. Sesshomaru is/Bent on killing that hanyou/He wants Tetsusaiga.

15. Rin, once dead, now lives/Tenseiga, that sword that heals/Bring her back to life.

16. Yes my lord, oh yes/I, Jaken, will follow you/Till the end of time.

17. Sango is my sis/But I can't remember her/Am I Kohaku?
