Aisha liked the quiet moments.

Since she had joined the Losers, though, it was hard find quiet moments. For them, the world was loud, hard, dangerous, explosive. When they weren't tracking down Max, they were running for their lives. Hell, sometimes they were doing both. The world was out to get them, and, as she was reminded each day that she woke up in Clay's arms to the sounds of gunfire or explosions, it was a noisy place to inhabit. Even when they weren't running or tracking, when they were just planning their next move, there was the constant sound of Jensen clacking away at a computer, or of Cougar cleaning and reloading his guns, or of Pooch and Clay going over and over the plan. Sometimes, Aisha found it hard to remember what the quiet moments were like.

But.

But then there would be a day off, where they took a much needed break, where they weren't running for their lives and they didn't need to make a move. Days where the boys would play video games, days where they would work out at a gym, days where they could eat at restaurants. It was on these days that Aisha found her quiet moments again. Moments where she could curl into Clay on the couch, where he would absent-mindedly tuck her head under his chin and make her feel safe. Moments where Pooch would call Jolene, where they would take turns talking to her and asking about the baby. Moments where Cougar would take his hat off put it on Jensen's head, where the sniper would fall asleep on the couch with his head in the hacker's lap and his lover's fingers in his hair.

It was during one of these moments that Aisha found herself telling Clay that he was going to be a father, heard his sharp intake of breath followed by the smile and the kiss and the "I love you".The same moment where she heard Cougar and Jensen whisper their first "I love you" to each other. The same moment she heard Pooch whisper proudly, dazedly, that he was going to be a father again. Tomorrow the sun would rise, and with the sun would come the shouting, the gunfire, the explosions. But as the moon rose higher and the world kept turning, Aisha knew that it would be the quiet moments she would cherish, that she would always remember.

"As the world turns, the quiet moments let us hide," she whispered against Clay's neck as she grinned.

The world kept turning, but that night, the Losers hid from Max, from their enemies, from the noise, and held a quiet celebration for the moments that kept them from going crazy.

I do not own the Losers! I just own the little plot bunny that came into my head after I watched it. This isn't my first fanfiction, but it is the first one I've posted, and it is the first Losers fanfiction I've written. Reviews and crtique are welcome!
