Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians, sadly. This is my first story ever so take it easy with the hate.

Annabeth looked out to the sea, trying to fight the tears in her eyes. The smell of the sea only brought up the painful memory that her Seaweed Brain was gone. One month and 24 days since Percy disappeared out of thin air and she still forced herself to keep herself moving and searching. It wasn't often that Annabeth was out of ideas ,but now she was completely unsure of herself. She was just hanging on to the small hope that her Percy was alive. Grover had told her that he would know if Percy had died, and that was the only thing keeping her going.

She settled herself into Percy's hammock on the beach as she let the old memories flood her mind. She snuggled into the comforting scent of Percy. Most of Annabeth's time has been taken up from laying in this hammock and looking at maps and stories. She had only left to eat and to check out leads for Percy's location. Her cabin was worried about her and came to visit her sometimes. As much as she apprieciated their company; they only distracted her from her search.

She watched the sun set under the water as the memories became to painful for her. She started to cry into the light blue pillow she was laying her head on. Her tears mixing their salty smell with the sea air around her. When sleep finally took her she began to dream of her precious Seaweed Brain. It was her birthday, she could tell because it was her father's house. He was tickling his fingers along her sides making her rack with laughter. She was squirming beneath him, her hands pushing on his chest as she tried to push him off her. His green eyes sparkling with mischief , as he pinned her hands above his head. He suddenly stopped tickling her as he dropped his forehead to press against hers. He tilted his chin so their lips connected.

Annabeth jumped up in bed and looked around, trying to find Percy. When she finally realized that he was still gone; the tears started flowing down her face. She had to find him, even if it was the last thing she did.
