This isnt exactly what I would call my best work but I'm posting it anyways. It was a project I had to do in my Communication Arts class. I figured why not post it. . .

I do not own the book 'To Kill A MockingBird'

A Finch Thanksgiving

I loved Thanksgiving. IT was one of the few holidays that was spent without a visit to or from my Aunt Alexandra. I loved this day, with all the delicious food.

Every year Jem and Atticus would spend the afternoon playing touch football in the yard, but only touch football; never tackle because as Atticus always said, he was just too old.

While they played their game I would stay in the kitchen with Cal and watch her prepare dinner and occasionally she would allow me to stir or pour something but never would she let me take a quick taste. Even if I did get my hand smacked by a wooden spoon every time I tried to help her taste something, it was still great to stay in the room because it smelt wonderful.

Evening would finally arrive and I had to help Cal set up the table as best as I could and Jem and Atticus came in from the living room where they had been sitting.

Dinner was usually quiet, everyone enjoying Cal's cooking too much to speak. Afterwards, drowsy and full, we would rest on the porch until it was time for us to go to bed.
