Everything seemed to be falling apart in my life. Whatever I believed in before the war was burned into ashes and carried away with the wind.

Literally.

Instead of wanting to be buried under the ground next to her husband or parents, Tonks had chosen a unique form of a funeral. She was cremated and poured into a heavy vase decorated with bright colors and crazy patterns.

In her will, she had stated that half needed to be poured over the cliff by Bill's house and into the ocean. That was to be done with anyone who was 'wasting their time living mourning her'. So I had arranged the time and date some time after Fred and Remus's (her ashes would at least be preserved) and Molly made the food.

There were many more people there than I had anticipated. Her mother was the one to pour half of her daughter into the sea. Then, she had grasped what was left of her daughter as if she could not bear to let go. I knew that feeling all too well.

The second part of her will sated that the 'love of her life' should dump the rest of her wherever he thought the best memory of them was.

When no one was home, I took the ashes from Andromeda's mantel (they did not belong there anyway) and Apparated away from her house.

The first thing that I saw was a shining sun, then the tree. It was a large tree, appearing golden with the sun beating off the leaves. I walked up the hill and sat under the it, setting the ashes by my side and bringing my knees to my chest. After taking a deep breath of air I spoke, "Isn't it beautiful Tonks?"

I closed my eyes against the light breeze that touched my face. In that instant, I knew it was not just a coincidence. She was with me as my head leaned against the bark. The wind stopped and I said, "I miss you. And I love you. I always had, and I always will," I smiled as it picked up with a fierce force, but it soon died down.

When I opened my eyes, I felt the sting of tears in them but ignored it. With trembling hands, I picked the pot up and stood, taking the top off and dumping the remains where I had just been sitting.

As the wind picked up, I watched the ashes swirl around me as if she were shooting from the ground. I held my arms out from my body as she blew across my face, my arms, engulfing my body and touching my lips. When the tingling was gone, I watched as they settled on the leaves above. Then, she was disturbed again while they twisted their way towards the forest and away from where I stood.
