What she disliked the most was reality.

Life didn't give you a whole list of options, and fate never existed. There were only humans that thought they could change their paths and live their lives peacefully. Every single person, in this world, was granted a job. Each job held the pieces together to insure safety among the entire patch of twine. It was firmly connected to each individual, but lacked in specifics.

No one knew the other, but as a pack, they knew the other was needed to survive. This was the creator's way of natural selection. Each was created for a single purpose, amusement.

One girl stood out though, however, Hotaru Imai. She was needed in order to establish the beginning of feudalism. She was the reason why the creator suffered. At the same time however, she was why the world kept motioning around life. Yet she was outcasted, shunned by humanity itself.

That was fine with her though. She was born into this and would die like this. Then everything'd stop spinning. And then she came along, rather annoyingly.

Her name was Mikan Sakura, and her mind know no bounds. She should of kept her place, the spot chosen for her, but she pestered for her master to present her the ability to communicate with Hotaru. And although she outwardly ignored the fool, she couldn't help but linger a moment or two to listen to the other female. Mikan babbled most her time to the girl and couldn't help, but to smile at everything, and even at Hotaru herself.

She never did smile though, whether or not it had something to do with the girl. Sure, she in some akwardly way understand the words spoken by her, yet, she couldn't decipher what she had meant.

"Happiness?" was it Mikan called it?

'What… is that' she questioned unknowningly.

"Did it have anything to do with her? Or Mikan's other friends or partners? Was it a sort of new brand of clothing or item that was imaginery?" she wondered of times.

And just when she was able to accept the fact that she would just give up, did she feel it, the meaning.

When Mikan stopped the daily visits and returned back to her regular life. She wanted her back.

Even discomfort returned, lingering longer and lonely than before. These were her memories she presumed, eating herself inside. And at that moment, when she took a chance and decided to see her friend did she see reality now, in its true colors.

Mikan's vision of life.

With makeup smudged between her cheeks and a smile curled at her lips. Before her stood a boy, around the same age and a piercing red gleam in his eyes, and his hands cupped with hers. With that, she understood.

This was her friend's true happiness.

It was shown through the boy, meaning she was replaced. This was the entire reason Mikan's leaving didn't alter adifference to the other.

And though she should've been happy, it was all just bitter.

So she padded away into her area. Where the cold never ceased, and the cherries never blossomed, of all just winter. Where anything, and everything just decayed.

And she all but smiled.

"What was the point of life?" she figured, and slumped to her knees. And she uncapped that bottle, and glugged until she drowned.

And what she saw was just memories.

Dead, dying, life wasting memories.

Oh... it was supposed to mean (if you dun understand) that Mikan's with someone else... and totally ignoring Hotaru... guess it doesn't make sense
