Frodo had invited Sam and the rest of the fellowship to Sunday lunch. He put a bowl of fruit on the table for his friends to eat before the roast was ready, but Legolas had a different idea.

He had put an apple on Gimli's head and said:

"Hold still now Gimli, this won't heart a bit!"

"Are you sure Legolas? That arrow looks rather pointy to me..." Replied Gimli.

"No, of coarse not Gimli! Just hold still!" Insisted Legolas.

He fired the arrow towards Gimli; he closed his eyes, praying that it wouldn't hit him. It hit the apple which split strait in half! Gimli fainted in relief!

Meanwhile, Sam was watching Frodo cook the meal.

"Mr Frodo, i think there's something missing..." Said Sam.

"What could be possibly be missing from a Sunday Lunch that I cook?" Asked Frodo.

"I don't know, but i think you haven't started to cook something, something important..." Replied Sam.

Merrey and Pippin had sneaked into the larder in search of something to liven up the dinner with.

"Hmmm... I wonder what's in there..." Said Merrey, who was pointing to a large box on the floor.

"I don't know, lets have a look!" Said Pippin.

They looked in the box and found some beer.

"Ooh! Remember that pint we had at the Inn?" Asked Pippin.

"Yeah! But it looks like there's more than a pint here!" Said Merrey eagerly.

They started to drink all the beer.

In the dinning room, Aragon was watching Legolas who was trying to wake up Gimli. He was failing, he couldn't think of anything to say to wake him up...

"THE RING!" shouted Aragon.

Frodo dropped the plates, Sam froze, Gimli woke up, Legolas stared at Aragon and he stared back.
"What?" He asked as he took a bite out of an apple.

Frodo found some more plates and served the lunch while Sam found Merrey and Pippin drunk in the larder. Sam dragged them to their places and looked at the food on the table.

"MR FRODO, POTATOES!" He shouted.
