Notes: I own my OC'S and thats it. This is a one shot sequel off of my Unlikely Lover story. Check out the one shot that Neurotic Idealist created for me called Let me ease your mind. This is short yet sweet, I won't write another sequel for this. I think I've told enough story for this one. If you have an idea for me, hit me up with it. Hope you enjoy this! Enjoy!

Remember When!

3rd Person P.O.V

Ted and Grace sat around the fireplace, it has been 40 years since they said their vows to one another exactly to the day.
"Remember when Landon's Iguana got out and you were screaming to get it in the cage?"
"Yea I remember that thing caught me with its tail and that hurts."

"Remember when Carla went on her first date and I was standing at the door ready to go with her and her date?"
"Yea, I think you scared the poor kid to death." Grace said laughing. "I remember one day, I can't remember what I was mad at you for but I was. I wouldn't talk to you for almost the whole day. I remember you playing Steve Perry's song Oh Sherry all that day too. Trying to sing it to me every chance you got, changing Sherry to Gracie."
"Yea I remember that too."
"My god you were horrible singing that song. I had to hold myself from laughing about a million times."

"Was it really that bad?"
"Well you didn't sound anything close to Steve Perry."

"Remember when Landon's son Justin was born and he peed on me too?"
"Yea that took me back."
"We've made some good memories and some bad ones. But I would do it all over if I could." Ted said pulling Grace's hand up and kissing it.
"So would I."
"I can't believe Justin is almost 18 and getting ready to go into wrestling."
"I know, the DiBiase legacy may never end. Landon and Carla both made it, and now Justin. The rest are still young yet."
Ted got up and rummaged through their cd collection and found the one he was looking for. He walked over to Grace and stood her up.
"Grace, 40 years ago I made you my wife and I love you just as much now as I did then. Will you join me in a dance?"
"Sure will."

'Remember when I was young and so were you
and time stood still and love was all we knew.'

"You were the first, so was I. We made love and then you cried. Remember when."

Ted sang into her ear.
"My first love and only love." He whispered into her ear.

'Remember when we vowed the vows and walked the walk. Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard'

"We lived and learned, life threw curves. There was joy, there was hurt. Remember when."

'Remember when old ones died and new were born
And life was changed, disassembled, rearranged'

"We came together, fell apart and broke each others hearts. Remember when."

The music played as they danced and neither of them took their eyes off one another.

'Remember when the sound of little feet was the music. We danced to week to week.'

"Brought back the love, we found trust. Vowed we'd never give it up. Remember when."

Grace and Ted danced around the living room at a slow pace.

'Remember when thirty seemed so old. Now lookn' back it's just a steppin' stone, To where we are, Where we've been.'

"Said we'd do it all again. Remember when."

'Remember when we said when we turned gray
When the children grow up and move away.'

"We won't be sad, we'll be glad. For all the life we've had."
"And we'll remember when." Grace sang the last line looking deep into his eyes.

"Is there anything that you would take back?" Ted asked her.
"Not a thing."
"Not even the night Dave drugged you?"
"Not even that, because if it wouldn't have happened I may not be where I'm at right now. In the arms of my loving husband, no place else I'd rather be."
No other words were exchanged as Ted captured Grace's lips with his.
