Someone else beat me to posting something like this, but here's mine anyway. I actually wrote it last December...yeah, I'm that much of a procrastinator.

Chars are by JRR Tolkien, song is by Avril Lavigne, Elvish supplied by the booklet in my Muse magazine by David Salo. "Uireb no meleth vin" means "May our love endure forever."

Ranger Boi

He was a boy

She was a girl

Can I make it any more obvious?

She was an elf

He had greasy hair

But she didn't care

He wanted her

Was plain to tell

Whenever he visited Rivendell

But her father said

"It's not fine with me"

He had a problem with mortality

He was a ranger boi

Dad said, "He's a danger boi

Don't wed a guy with rounded ears!

When he dies you'll remain

Full of sorrow and such pain

For all of your long immortal years..."

He goes to war

She stays at home

Surrounded by elves and yet all alone

She turns around

Guess who she found?

Ranger boi brought some hobbits to town

A council is held

He cannot stay

The Fellowship's taking him far away

Pledges her love

There in the night

Looks up at her man who has to fight

He was a ranger boi

Dad said, "He's a danger boi"

Now he must fight for all he's worth

Travels the whole wide world

Always thinking of one girl

The fairest of all in Middle-earth (repeat)

Sorry Dad, but I won't go

Won't leave him alone, oh no

Uireb no meleth vin

Let's get married, screw my kin

Too bad for you but I see

And I will take mortality

Give me your consent I plead

Because my love I will not leave

He's just a boy

And I'm just a girl

No, I'll make it even more obvious

You know who we are

You must have seen

We are Gondor's king and queen...

I'm with the ranger boi

And he is no danger boi

Together we rule so wise and sage

My father gave his consent

Then boarded a ship and went

But we live on in this Fourth Age (repeat)

(Pippin knocks over the amp, causing the music to end in the...interesting way it does on the CD.)
