I don't know what to say about this one, but I heard a Slovenian song on the radio today and the lyrics go: "…in the span of one breath…" and voila, I wrote this. It's probably plotless&pointless, but I don't care. It's better to get it out there then to keep it on my computer where it'll drive me nuts and gather dust! You don't have to review, or even read this for that matter.

Sorry for all the grammar/spelling mistakes.

Enjoy…

Breathe in...

Sudden pain; catching you unprepared, giving you no time to even think about what hit you.

Fierce pain; blacking out the room around you, making you see it go round and round like a Ferris wheel.

Overwhelming pain; making you stumble, catch something with your hands, but it all fades away quickly into the nothingness your mind is already at.

Sharp pain; like knife cutting through your skin, ripping through tissue and muscle all the way to your bone.

Biting pain; like something's got its teeth in you and it's not letting go anytime soon.

Hot pain; making your arm feel like it's been dipped into ice.

Piercing pain; making your head spin so fast, you don't know if you hit the floor yet or not.

Dull pain; hitting something with your back.

Excruciating pain; leaving you in a mess of shivering limbs.

Breathe out...

Sure hands; knowing exactly where to touch, how to touch, for how long to linger there, not slipping in the blood it's surely there.

Gentle hands; knowing exactly how much pressure to put into to touch as not to break something.

Strong hands; holding up what wants to fall down.

Aggressive hands; touching everywhere all at once, up and down, left and right, gliding, smoothing the shivers.

Uncompromising hands; not taking 'no' for an answer when you know, your whole body is screaming NO!

Warm hands; spreading heat through cold skin.

Soft hands; when you know how rough they can really be.

Tender touch where you're feeling like you're coming apart.

"Gotcha, man. I gotcha."

Breathe in... breathe out. In the span of one breath you go from pain to comfort.

The End.
