They had been flying for five hours when it happened.

Leo sensed something was wrong the moment they took off.

For one, Calypso had aged about a year as soon as they stepped foot off the island.

"I'm fine," she had insisted. "Don't worry about me."

So they continued their trip.

They hadn't gotten two miles when Festus started shaking.

Oh no, Leo thought.

He climbed down to the dragon's belly and started to crawl in the control panel.

Then he realized it was the wrong one.

So he climbed back up.

"Um, Leo? Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Calypso's face was scrunched into a worried expression.

"No," Leo answered through a mouthful of wire.

He was opening the control panel on Festus' neck.

"What're you doing?" Calypso yelled.

"Just fixing him," Leo replied nonchalantly.

"What if we die?" Ever since she had become un-immortal, Calypso had been worried about dying.

"If we do, I'll die happy." Leo stepped on a wire and Festus jerked left.

"Why? Cause you murdered me?" Calypso shrieked.

"No, Calypso," Leo groaned. "I'll be happy because I'm with you."

He crawled back up, the trip having done nothing for the welfare of Festus.

It was no use. They were going to crash.

"Calypso, I just want you to know, whatever happens, I love you," Leo whispered.

Oh no, he thought again as Festus started descending rapidly.

They were going down. This was it.

He couldn't hear her over the sound of the rushing wind, but he was almost sure her last words to him were "I love you too."
