The full moon cast its light upon her sleeping features. He watched her through soft gray-green eyes, his dark golden hair lit with a halo of moonlight.
And as he watched, he reflected that she was more beautiful than anyone he had ever seen. Her pale, golden hair spilled out over the rich, silky pillows, bright as the sun. Her gentle amber eyes were closed to the night. As he watched, she murmured in her sleep, her lovely, rich voice, ah, it was music to his ears.
The light was suddenly cut off as storm clouds gathered across the heavens. Rain began to pour down, splattering the windows. She awoke, seeing her love lying beside her, also listening to the rain.
Lightning flashed, illuminating his face for a moment, just long enough for her to see his perfect features. She sighed inwardly, touching his arm gently. He turned, his beautiful eyes glowing with love for her.
She murmured gently in his ear, as he lay his arm across her waist, his dark hair hanging in his eyes. He reached out a hand and brushed her pale hair from her face.
He sighed as the thunder roared and lightning flashed. As much as he loved storms, nothing could compare to his love for her. As the rain continued to fall, gently, softly now, he got up and walked over to the window, staring out into the stormy night.
She slowly got up, walking over to where her love stood. He looked troubled, and it broke her heart.
"What's wrong?" she murmured, rubbing his back. He smiled as he took her in his arms.
"Nothing, Shira." Senjinn murmured, "Nothing at all."
