Love Changes Everything
Mick reflects on how once again Beth has changed his life.
AN: Assumes that readers have watched Epi 16 Sonata so I have not gone into detail and repeated here. This is just a little something that came to mind after watching it again.

Mick St John stood watching over the LA night on his balcony deep in thought. He loved to come up here at night and clear his mind. Sometimes his mind was filled with the troubles of his undead existence. The case he was working on at the time.
Tonight his thoughts drifted to a certain blonde that had become such a huge part of his life. His Beth.
He couldn't help but think back to the night that he finally let the last barrier that fear had kept between them fall.
He had finally told her he loved her and it had changed everything.
……due to his ever present concern that the experience could end up a disaster, the first time they made love had been a gentle, slow and tentative dance between them. There would be other times for the fire and passion that he knew lurked under the surface. He had insisted that they sit and talk before things got out of hand. Beth, of course, had become impatient with him and had even made a joke about it but he was determined that she knew exactly what to expect. Her blind trust in him never ceased to amaze him. He could sense she was nervous but she wasn't afraid. Well he had been afraid enough for both of them. He had to make her understand. He knew that the urge to bite would be too strong. There were just too many emotions involved. He had wanted her for so long and after what had happened that night emotion was running high on both sides. They had to get over this hurdle if they were to be truly together.........
The fact that his fear had turned out to be unfounded made him smile now.
.......the moment had arrived. He felt his eyes frost over and his fangs descend and had tried to look away not wanting her to see. He didn't want something that was so special between them to turn into something ugly. Beth just held his face in her hands and looked into his frosted eyes. She told him that it was okay. That she loved him. He looked back into her eyes for a moment and saw the truth. He was astounded that she viewed this moment with him with calm acceptance. She kissed him then turned her head offering her neck to him. He only took a small amount of her blood but it was enough to tell him that what she said was true. Beth loved him. He could taste it. They had talked for a while afterwards wrapped in each others arms but sleep soon claimed her. He really needed his freezer but there was no way that he was going to leave her. He watched her while she was sleeping, listening to her breathe and counting her heart beats revelling in her humanity........
He was happy and in love and he knew that once again she had changed his life forever.
