The Gods above stormed away. Bloodshed was the definition. No one dared to exit their cabin – the fear of getting shot down. Yet, some demigods stood a chance.
A chance to run to their friend.
Like Percy and Jason.
Percy flew into Jason's arms.
Literally.
The two boys hugged tightly, the hold nearly life-threatening. Never before had the son of Poseidon and son of Jupiter been this scared. One thought ran through their mind:
'What had happened?'
Outside was a storm full of imperfection. At first, they all thought Percy and Jason were sparring.
That was not the case.
The sun and moon collided – disaster. Tidal waves and lightning that blazed into camp.
It was utter devastation.
Half of Percy was too scared to even speak or insult him. The other side thought, 'At least Jason is here.'
That was quite true.
Percy was grateful for the other's presence.
They were bros. Bros helped each other out.
At that thought the son of Poseidon clung onto the taller boy more. A nose shuffled its way into Percy's hair.
"Hey, Percy."
"Yeah?"
Jason mumbled through a tuft of hair, "What do you think is happening?"
Percy didn't know. But an idea continued to nag him. It was to always lay at the back of his brain. "I think they're arguing about us."
The son of Jupiter removed his face from the smaller's head and instead twisted himself around slightly to look in the green eyes of his friend.
"Really?"
He nodded, "Last week my Dad was acting very suspicious. Whenever I was to go to speak he would look very… scared."
The blue-eyed demigod raised an eyebrow but said nothing and pulled the Hero of Olympus into his chest, careful not to make him uncomfortable.
A few hours passed before Jason went to speak again, "When do you think it'll stop?"
Only then did he realise that Percy was asleep. Head tucked under Jason's chin. Face in his throat. Chest against chest. Legs tangled together and of course dribble on Jason's shirt.
At that moment, the blond decided he didn't care what happened. As long as he had his Sea Prince. Heck, they could be thrown into Tartarus and he wouldn't care. Jason placed a single kiss on Percy's head and whispered, "I love you."
Not known to Jason, Percy had heard. The hero smiled against his friend's throat and voice barely audible, replied:
"I love you too."
