She missed him. She really did. It had been 3 years since he left. He had left to pursue his dreams, but that didn't stop her from wishing he would come back. She thought back to that day, the day he left Sinnoh... The day he left her. A week before he left, they had confessed their feelings for each other. She thought back to that week, remembering the good times they had had.
She looked up to see him walking toward her, flowers in hand. She blushed and smiled as he sat down next to her. They had talked for hours, and out of nowhere he had confessed his feelings, leaving her to realize she felt the same. That was six days ago, and tomorrow they would have to go their seperate ways.
As they kissed in the moonlight, she found herself unable to enjoy it. "What's bothering you?" he asked.
"Tomorrow we go our seperate ways. I don't want to be apart, but this is too important to each of us. I just don't want this... want us... to end."
"Don't let yourself be restrained by the truth. We can take it. We'll always be together, whether we are in the same room, or hundreds of miles apart. Let me take away your pain." He kissed her again. "This night may not last forever, but we're still together. You're not alone, and that's what counts."
"You're right." she replied with a smile.
"Just remember, we may be apart, but we'll always be together."
If only it had been meant to be. The next morning, they had left each other, their individual dreams overruling their love. She shook the thoughts from her mind. Today was her birthday, she should be happy. The doorbell rang, and she went to answer it. She couldn't keep a look of surprise off of her face when she recognized the boy standing there.
"You're not alone." he said as he pulled her in for a kiss.
