Epilogue
by Iris-Rei
Digimon is NOT owned by me. Even though this is very evident, I must make this clear each time because the people at Toei and Fox aren't too bright.

Tai raced across the wet and slippery ground towards the Dining Hall. He slipped in the mud and cursed loudly before reaching Dining Hall.
"Tai! Wait up!" Joe, Izzy, and T.K. were right behind him, just as wet and miserable as he was.
Tai stopped right in time to avoid crashing into Mimi, but Joe didn't.
"You klutz! Get off me!" screamed Mimi.
"Oh, oh, I'm so sorry," stuttered Joe as he blushed and quickly got off her.
Kari helped him up and filled Tai up in the events.
"...and Mr. Fukai says that there's a pretty good chance they're alive," ended Kari.
"Pretty good chance? Of course they're alive!" Tai yelled a bit louder than he intended.
"You know, Tai, you don't have to make your voice jump a couple decibals. We're all concerned for Matt and Sora's well being," said Izzy earnestly.
T.K. nodded in agreement with Izzy, even though Tai was pretty sure T.K. was as clueless as he was when Izzy said "decibals." Why was he talking about math in a time like this?
Together they helped push the rocks and clutter out of the way so they could reach the Dining Hall better. Even with all five of them working, (Mimi complained that her hands hurt and she was so wet and tired, so she sat on a log for most of the time,) it wasn't until 5:11 AM when they finally got all the clutter away and everyone was well rested.
"Well, here goes nothing," said Tai. He pushed up the sleeves of his muddy shirt and, with the help of Joe and T.K., pulled open the doors. As soon as they did, some chairs toppled dangerously and nearly crashed on top of them.

Sora woke up suddenly at the sound of a large crash. She blinked a bit, and saw light through the large mess of chairs and tables. She looked at Matt, who was already awake.
"Shh," whispered Matt, putting his fingers to her lips. "It's our rescue team."
Suddenly she heard Tai.
"Matt! Sora! Where are you guys?! Please don't tell me you're dead!"
It was Tai, sure enough.
Matt yelled back, "D'you think we'd be dead if we answered?"
"Matt!" There was a sudden sound of running, another crashing sound, a strand of words that Sora knew Tai wouldn't dare say in front of Mrs. Kamiya, and then he replied, "Is Sora there? Is she okay?"
"Yeah, I'm okay," Sora said back.
"Then come out, you guys! I'm not exactly in the best rescue position, you know!"
They looked at each other and kissed each other quickly and quietly. Then they stood up and stretched before crawling out of their little corner.
Tai was sitting on the ground, cradling his ankle. He visibly brightened at the sight of them. "What took you guys so long?! I thought you guys nearly forgot about me!"
Together, they picked up the goggle-bearing leader and helped him hobble out of the Dining Hall.
~*~*~
Sora and Matt had agreed to tell Tai about it, but they weren't sure when.
In the meantime, Sora was going to stay away from Tai as much as possible. She figured that if she spent some more time by herself, she could build up the courage. So, over the summer, Sora quit soccer and took up tennis.
However, finding the time to tell Tai was getting harder to find.
As it turned out, someone had taken over the DigiWorld and they were going to have to train three new people to fight the new evil person, someone called Digimon Emporer.
In the meantime, though, Matt and Sora kept their relationship a secret. They visited each other late at night, sent e-mails in a secret code, exchanged kisses in the dark corners of school.
Who knew what Tai would do when he found out?
