Hey reader(s), this is just another one-shot I've been working on to fully break out of my writer's block. Everything else just can't seem to get going, not even another one-shot I thought would help...
Yeah, this has spoilers. Right now. Stop if you hate spoilers.
This is right after Cosmos is "killed" by Chaos. Just some drabble I guess.
Enjoy!
The fire had vanished, taking the Goddess with it. The two Warriors of Chaos disappeared as the strange power overtook their enemies. There was no sound. No movement. It was as if they were all dreaming; the same terrible dream.
In utter disbelief, the Warrior fell into the darkness. He could faintly hear the voices of his comrades; Tidus and the boy, the Onion Knight. But he felt alone.
No... I am not alone...
...Was he? He could not find his crystal; could not summon it to break his blindness. The only way he could tell he was still alive was his shield pressed to his side, and his sword in his hand, though the blade and hilt were getting steadily colder. There was no Light.
No! The Light... the Light is always with me!
Ten coloured objects appeared in his sight, swirling and glittering. He could feel his comrades hearts leap with his as Order's Sanctuary began to materialise before the light of the crystals, the rapidly appearing water glittering with countless colours. The crystals began to slow, and as the Warriors found themselves standing in the water, they moved to their owners, floating just in front of them.
The Warrior of Light stared into his crystal, hesitant. It's colours ran deeper than he thought, and at it's shining heart, he saw something familiar... a face? A blink, and it was gone, almost a figment of the imagination.
He held his crystal in hand, feeling its gentle warmth and letting his faith set again. He felt ashamed that he had doubted the gift Cosmos has given them, and his own resolve had wavered in the presence of darkness. The other nine warriors of Cosmos also held their crystals, and even though the Warrior did not know what the were thinking as they stood there, but he knew that each and every one would fight together against the darkness.
As would he. For as long as the Light, and his comrades, needed him.
I will not stop.
Yeah, it's short, but meh. Hope it was okay though.
