A/N : There is a song I would rec : When The Rain Falls by The Zetta Bytes from the Pixel Perfect soundtrack. The lyrics are from that song.
"When
the rain falls
It's like heaven's crying
When the name's
all
The difference that there is
Cause tears are
The same
when they are trying to grow something good
Out of all the
pain
There's no difference between the teardrops and the rain"
"Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what's right and what's easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory."
Tears streamed down her cheeks as she mastered all her willpower not to run out of the Great Hall at that very moment. She wanted to call him back; she had so many things she had left unsaid. She needed him to keep his promise, she need him to help her keep her chin up high. Cedric's voice echoed in her mind, the promise he made to her before he entered the maze.
"Be strong for me Cho. They say people change in there, I don't know if I will. I may never be the same person anymore, but one thing will never change. I love you, and I promise I'll come back out in one piece. I want to see the pride on your face as you beam down at me from the stands. I promise Cho, I promise..."
Her whole body shook as she cried, however the tears didn't seem to help her relieve her pain. She remembered Cedric's blank expressionless eyes when Harry had brought him back out of the maze. Those grey eyes, eyes that were always full of emotion, eyes that always lit up when he saw her walking down the hall. She missed the warm gleam of his eyes, the way they distracted her from her work whenever they were in the library studying.
She missed him so much.
"Hey there," whispered Roger Davies as he pushed her head to rest on his shoulder, wiping her tears in a brother-sisterly gesture. "Don't cry anymore, you're going to cry yourself dry. They are right, Cedric died when he had just won the tournament. He died when he was at his happiest point in his life. He wouldn't want you to mourn for him. He wouldn't want to see you like that. Cheer up, life goes on," he said, giving he hand a squeeze. Cho gave him a small smile before burying her head in his shoulder as she sobbed.
Thunder rumbled as the sky grew dark and overcast. Roger ran through the halls in search of Cho, worried that she would do something silly in a moment of grief. He found her alone by the lake as raindrops started falling from the sky.
"I miss you Ced, I really do. I miss the way you would take my hand and tell me that it'll be okay. I miss the way you can make me smile with your horrible singing." She choked back a sob. "I miss the way you used to shamelessly proclaim your love in the middle of classes. You always made me blush so hard. But I'm glad Ced. I'm glad that you loved me. And I'm glad that even if you had to go, you did so with a happy heart. I'm just sorry, that I never got to say goodbye to you, one last time."
She closed her eyes as the rain mixed with her tears, trickling down her cheek. She was sure, as she felt the wind blow, she heard Cedric whisper in her ear, one last time.
I love you.
