BABYSITTING
AlicePOV
I can't believe I get to babysit Bella again for Edward! I am going to have SO much fun!
Vision: Bella walking through the door without knocking.
Oh great, I better go get re. . . . . .
"Hi, Alice," Bella said as if I were going to dress her up like a Barbie Doll in all of my favorite clothes. "Where should I put my stuff?"
"In my room," I almost squealed. "We are going to have TONS OF fun!"
BellaPOV
When Alice said "fun", she didn't exactly mean what I had in mind. As we headed upstairs to her room, I couldn't help but think that Edward was going to laugh once he heard about what was happening. I slipped on Alice's new dress (it was three days old, but Alice said it was too old for her to wear anymore) and headed to the bathroom where she would do my hair and nails. I walked dreadfully from hall to hall trying to remember where the bathroom was, but all I could think about was Edward and how long this weekend would seem.
"Bella!" Alice's squeaky pixie voice came from a door a few feet away from me. "Are you lost?"
"No," I lied.
"Hurry up!"
I walked through the door and decided that this would be the LAST time I would EVER stay with Alice again. I'd rather just stay with Charlie than go through this again. Over the next hour, Alice did stuff with my hair and nails (I wasn't paying attention to what) and I sat there acting like I was having a good time. I think she could see right through me though.
"Look up, Bella." I did. What I saw was NOT what I expected to see. Okay, maybe I was pretty, but these barrettes HURT! I like the lipstick, but my lips were really dry. This mascara keeps getting in my eye! And now I am breaking out with a rash because of the blush.
"ALICE!" My cry broke the awkward silence between us. "GET IT OFF, NOW!!!"
"Why? What? Oh! Sorry, Bella!" As she took the makeup off, I started thinking about how Edward would react to THIS. He probably wouldn't be happy. He HATES it when anything happens to me. I couldn't believe Alice does this EVERY time I come over.
"Alice," I said quietly.
"Yes?"
"I am NEVER coming over again."
