She was a flower, a flower with a heart for one man. The man stood quietly in the sun's rays, releasing his demon only by moonlight. And therefore, she knew she could not have him. For, unlike other flowers, she loved moonlight, and could not live without it. If she brought him into the night with her, disastrous things would happen.
He could not love the flower anyway, for he would be taking her away from the other creatures of the moon. He would be keeping her heart from the one creature who loved the flower the most, and he could not do that to the creature.
That creature was the deer. The deer liked to nibble on the leaves of the other flowers, but he kept the flower of the moonlight untouched. He knew he could lose her if he touched her fragile stem, so he waited until she was ready to bloom for him.
The flower scorned the deer. She thought he was insincere in all of his doings, and she thought his antlers were too small for a stag who claimed so much of himself. But soon, she found herself changing, or maybe it was the deer that did so. She decided to give him a chance at her heart and soul, and soon he proved himself worthy.
The deer and the flower created a bond in the moonlight, for that was where she bloomed, and that was where his antlers grew. And before they could catch up with each other, they were lost deep within love.
And the man who the flower had once loved did not regret anything at all, for she was happier in the moonlight with the deer than she could ever have been in the sunlight with him, the man.
The flower and the deer vowed themselves to each other. They had a child. But all too soon, it came to an end…
And they got lost in the night. But at least they were lost together
A/N: Odd. I don't know if I like this or not…
