Author's Note: Normally, I am cursing the existance of my English class, but today, I actually had fun. The assignment? Create a Shakespearian sonnet that includes apostrophe, assonance, alliteration, allusion, personification, reversed grammar, metaphore, similie, and all that other sophisticated English 10 Honors stuff. The result? This. And I'm pretty darn proud of it.

THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK

My head denies it, so I pay no mind.
Part of my fam'ly lives. The thought won't go.
Focusing now, my enemy I find.
He calls himself "Father", and then I know.
He speaks, cutting my hand, he is heard,
"You don't know the power of the Dark Side."
Ben! You, like a stone, never said a word!
In my father, you allowed me false pride.
Paying the price practically right then,
I howl like a fowl in Darkness's cowl.
Hand and soul lost, I'm an angel fallen.
I drop from a height, taking flight most foul.
I drop and cry a name, an Echo's plea.
My father he is, but my sister is she.
