Scully got up one fine sunny morning,

To find her dog Queequeg dead.

She sat there and cried for a short little while,

And then phone up Mulder and said:

"Dear little Mulder, oh Mulder my dear,

I am so very distraught."

He answered, "Oh Scully, forgive me my dear,

But I'm afraid it's all my fault.

I thought little Queequeg, so fluffy and fair,

With a strange little look on his face,

Was something unusual and something so rare,

From the far outer reaches of space."

It turned out that Mulder, the strange man he is,

Thought he'd shot something from Mars,

And suddenly realised, a little too late,

That it was not at all from the stars.

Scully wanted immediate revenge,

And sneaked out at three in the morn.

And then she walked quietly to where Mulder lives,

And managed to get there by dawn.

But to her surprise as she climbed through the window,

She realised that no-one was in.

But when she went out and looked in the yard,

She saw something strange in the bin.

So Scully, the curious person she is,

Decided to go take a peek.

But what she saw next, right there in the bin,

Would really make some people freak.

For there in the bin was a big gooey mess,

From which an unusual smell rose,

And right in the core of this uncanny muck,

Was the last remains of Mulder's clothes.

Amongst all the clothes, afloat on the muck,

Scully did notice a note.

She picked up the note and brushed off the muck,

And managed to read what was wrote.

"Dear Scully, I really should tell you the truth,

About who I really am.

I come from a place way up in the sky,

I am no ordinary man.

Yes, you have guessed it, an alien I am,

I've been in disguise all along.

And now that I've ruined your dog's life and yours,

I thought it was time I'd be gone.

But do not fear Scully, for I am not dead,

I simply have travelled back home.

Back to the place where aliens live,

Where I do not feel so alone.

The reason for shooting your wonderful dog,

Was because I thought he was my rival.

I've hated this alien all of my life,

And the trigger I just wanted to pull.

So goodbye my dear, I know it's hard to bear,

But, just remember, THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!
