Burning Green
He stood next to a large oak tree, a cigarette in his mouth, and a silent sneer curving at the side of his face. Around him the only comfort was the green grass that reflected his inner demons. He watched silently as a crowd of well wishers surrounded the couple. His eyes momentarily lingered on her, but she never noticed. He continued to watch as the gangly red-headed man took her hand and led her in the middle of the crowd.
The couple danced silently in the midst of all the cheering. Her chocolate eyes were over-bright and with the help of the illuminating sun, they shone green like his heart. He watched with a pained expression as she rose up to kiss the redhead's lips. He felt the remains of his heart lurch.
For a glittering moment he wished he was the one she was dancing with, he wished she was in that beautiful white dress for him, but mostly he wished that he wasn't an imprint of his past life.
With a last look at the woman he would never have, the imprint of Sirius Black slowly faded away. His heart will forever burn green with envy.
A/N: My first drabble that I posted! Woo-Hoo! And yes Sirius is a ghost, didn't see that one coming did you?
