Saving Robin: Prologue
"Why do you run little bird?" Joker's voice echoed through the hallways as Robin ran through the long hallways.
Looking back to make sure no one was following him; Robin tried his best to stay on his feet. Robin vision blurred; his body wavered from side to side until he finally slammed into the wall and slid down ending up on his knees.
"Batman," Robin whispered, looking down the hallway with his blurred vision.
"Baby bird, what are you doing so far from the nest?" Joker's voice echoed, Robin covered his ears and hid his head between his arms to come and hid from Joker.
Robin's breath came quickly out in pants, as tears cascaded down Robin's face and on to his red, green and black uniform below. Robin's looked up, his eyes caught on to Joker running towards him. Robin pulled back away from Joker's onwards running body; Joker smiled widely and knelt down in front of Robin with a large smile and a deep glint ran through his eyes. Joker leaned closer to the small bird, while Robin pulled away and keep his head hidden beneath his arms.
"Don't hide, little bird," Joker said, his voice full of amazement as he watched Robin.
Robin pushed further asked the wall, wanting and hoping that he would suddenly be able to get away or Bruce would come and rescue him. As Joker neared Robin, his shaking became increasingly more violent and then his body shut down.
