Disclaimer: Narnia and all of its inhabitants belong to the brilliant Clives Staples Lewis. (Now I know why he went by C. S.) I do enjoy borrowing Eustace Clarence Scrubb, though. He's an obnoxious twerp of the highest order, and yet I find him to be a strangely appealing and hilarious character.

Author's Note: I'm keeping Eustace's tendency of referring to everyone on the ship by their initials. C = Caspian, D=Drinian, L=Lucy, E=Edmund, R=Reepicheep, etc. Also, I do not know the Narnian days of the week. Since they are descended from English people, I would figure that they use the English names.

Day 5, Wednesday (?)

Been tossed about in this dratted tub for days. Am feeling quite seasick. Am also thinking that C has no idea where we are going. Mentioned this to E. Of course, he leapt to C's defense in an instant. Everyone does. It's absolutely sickening. C's head is big enough as it is.

Am wondering if D might be hard of hearing. He didn't seem to hear my observations on how to properly sail a ship. And when I quizzed him on nautical terms, he gnashed his teeth and muttered something about "annoying little beasts". Looked around, but R was nowhere in sight. Perhaps D is balmy as well as deaf. Should tell C about this. Then he can find a proper navigator at the next port.

Must stop for now. Am too sick to keep writing.
