"Wake up!" My head snapped up as the teacher yelled. I looked over to see if she was looking at me. For once she wasn't. Mrs. Gillian was yelling at David (my best friend) who was still passed out on his desk, even after our teacher's piercing shriek.
I giggled and looked back at my 3DS to see my most trusted team member, Swellow, take a Flamethrower from a Pyroar like it was nothing. I smiled as the Pyroar fainted to a high powered Return attack the next turn.
I looked up again to see what had happened to David, suprised to see him actually awake and taking the notes. I leaned over and whispered to him, "tomorrow, bring your Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and prepare to lose."
The tiredness drained from his eyes and a challenging look replaced it. "You're on" He replied. "But you'd better watch out, I've been training!" This last part he said a bit to loud, but luckly only our friend behind us, Luke, had heard. "I call battling winner!"
David and I looked at each other and shrugged. We both knew that we could take Luke. His only good Pokemon was a Lucario that couldn't even Mega evolve.
"Yeah sure man. But train a bit tonight, ok?" David said as the bell rang. He nodded and we all got up and packed up.
As I start playing Pokemon and heading home, a voice calls my name. "TYLER!"
I turn around to see my girl friend, Kylee, running after me. I stop mid-walk and put my 3DS in my backpack, knowing full well what was going to happen.
Thump!
She jumped at me and we bumped heads. She let out a little scream and started falling back. Luckily, I was able to catch her just in time.
"Oww..." Kylee said, rubbing her head.
"Your fault," I said, sticking my tongue at her. She glared at me.
"And here were you going?" she asked impatiently.
"Home," I replied, not really getting why she was asking.
"You forgot, didn't you?" she asked. "I'm sleeping over tonight, babe!" "OH YEAH," I exclaimed "Sorry... I forgot..."
"It's fine; now lets GO! I DON'T WANT TO WASTE ANY SNUGGLE TIME!" said Kylee, pulling me toward my house.
Later that night, Kylee and I were laying in bed together. She was reading a book and I was playing an old Pokemon Mystery Dungeon game on my 3DS. We both continued doing this for a few more minutes before deciding to go to bed.
I put my 3DS on the charger, the screen still open to the title screen to provide a night light and some soothing music.
Just when I was starting to drift off, I heard the music get louder. I opened my eyes and looked over at my 3DS. The screen was getting brighter and brighter by the second. I looked back at Kylee, who was fast asleep, and then got out of bed to examine the light. Squinting to see through the light, I pressed the power button and blacked out.
