Author's Notes: First attempt at a InoShikaTema. This sucks to much. I also wrote this last year. In like, July. Don't expect it to be very good. :D

It was dark. Rain spluttered from the midnight sky, showering the world below.
Lightning flashed, illuminating the objects as thunder leisurely followed, the booming sound encouraging people to close their curtains, a barrier to protect them from the storm outside.
Temari stared at him, her brilliant sea green orbs narrowing in frustration. Her dirty blonde eyebrows were furrowed, showing that she was deep in thought. He stared ar her lazily, his face portraying no emotion.
Always the same, she thought wryly to herself.
"You shouldn't be here, Shikamaru." she told him sternly, folding her arms and looking away from him. She did not wish to look at him: not now or ever.
Shikamaru took a step forward to her and grabbed her elbow, making her face him. She looked surprised. "I won't leave." he said, his voice deep, bored and demanding all at the same time.
Temari removed herself from his grasp, eyes flashing in fury. "Don't touch me," she snarled, face heating up like a volcano, ready to erupt.
Backing away from him, she leaned against the kitchen counter, giving him a silent warning to stay away from her.
The young blonde was startled when the phone rang. Answering it quickly, she didn't spare Shikamaru another look.
"Hello?" she said into the phone. While the other person was talking, she looked out the window, watching the lightning flash.
"Yes, Ino, he's here," Temari paused in her answer. "I'll tell him. Bye." setting down the receiver, she sighed tiredly. Taking a deep breath, she turned around.
"She wants you home." Temari told him, trying so hard to make her voice stern, but it quivered violently. "You have to go." her voice was more broader this time, and she straightened herself up when she said it, trying to be the dominant one.
Shikamaru sighed and stuffed his hands into his pockets . "Troublesome." was all he said before he turned to leave.
She watched him go with sad eyes.
Author's Notes: ...yeah. Uh, review? :)
