The Adventures of Percy Weasley
Form 23.2A.11b: For Field Operatives in Magical Artifacts and Smuggling Division ONLY
Name: Percy Weasley
Job Title: Junior Undersecretary for Field Operations, 3rd rank.
Ministry Reference Number: 28871PW074
Operation Number:7839523JKR89900
Date: 20th August 2004
Target: Fine Finn's Flaming Flamingo Farm
Aim: To ascertain whether Gustavus Finn, the owner of said establishment, was a front for illicit dragon dealing. Liason was made with the dragon sanctuary in Roumania, via Charles Weasley, the current Assistant Director.
Report: As planned in the meeting of the Field Committee (Smuggling:Dragons) of 27th March inst. I approached the farm at 0500 hours, along the perimeter fence. Having disabled the wards as per plan, I proceeded along the concealing line of trees. Unfortunately, in the concealing line of trees was a concealed whomping willow. I was caught by the tip of a branch and swept sideways into a flamingo pool. I had the forethought to cast a cushioning charm, but unfortunately still fell into the water, creating a splash and awakening the flamingoes. I concealed myself behind a small bush, and overheard security people walking past, who were attacked by the enraged flamingoes. During this fortuitous diversion, as the guards were extinguishing their robes, I proceeded to the central complex.
These buildings are certainly sufficiently fireproof to contain dragons. I gained entry to the buildings. The incubation pens seem larger than necessary for flamingo eggs. At this point I was surprised by a Rottweiler. And a dragon. There is no legal dragon registered there, so I feel that we can now proceed against them.
I cast the conjunctivitis charm, and stunned the Rottweiler. I was then chased by security personnel, but do not feel that my identity was compromised. I have, however, severe scorch marks from where I made my escape through the flamingo pool, and some superficial wounds from their beaks. I append the relavent forms relating to medical treatment.
Recommendations: 1) That we proceed to a prosecution against the above-named target. 2) That I don't ever see a flamingo again.
Respectfully submitted.
