Bonds

Hi everyone! This is just a quick Christmas one shot I decided to write, just wanna wish you all a merry Christmas (or any other holiday you celebrate)

Robin smiled widely as the Shepards broke into yet another song. Usually all these songs would have driven him insane by now, but having all his friends and family sing them together made Robin wish the songs would never end.

The tactician turned to look around the camp, taking in all the excitement and happiness that surrounded Robin.

Gregor, Ricken and Lon'qu were drinking and laughing, well Gregor and Lon'qu were drinking. Gaius was getting reprehended by Cordelia for stealing all the candy canes again. Marribelle and Lissa were drinking tea, it was a dark shade of red for some reason. Sully and Sumia were talking with Nowi, trying to teach her that horses weren't food. Chrom was helping Emmeryn off the ground, she fell off her chair, thankfully not the worst of her falls. Kellam was . . . Robin couldn't find Kellam anywhere, but the tactician hoped he was having a good time.

Robin turned to see the children from the future, laughing and seeing all of them happier than Robin had seen in a long time. "This is their first Christmas with their family," Robin realized, "This is probably their first Christmas ever, heh, I'm glad they're having a good time."

Everyone suddenly went quiet as Morgan stood on top of a fruit box, holding a piece of paper.

"I wrote something special for today," the young tactician said with a light blush, Morgan picked up the paper and began reading, "I don't know what brought us all here together, or what will one day tear us apart, but today, I know, that through all the hardships and loss that we have faced it is our bonds that has us here together now. Our bonds are what bring us together, they are what make us close, they are what makes us who we are, they bring our hearts together, our trust, our stories, our lives, and our bonds will determine our fate. It's thanks to these bonds that I'm standing here today, that any of us are. And the day those bonds break, is the day that this world ceases to be."

The Shepards started clapping immediately, cheering for the young tactician, Morgan bowed slightly and jumped off the box.

"That was beautiful Morgan." Robin hugged Morgan.

"Thanks," Morgan hugged back "I meant every word of it, thank you for bringing me to this life."

"I couldn't imagine a world without you." Robin hugged Morgan tighter.

"Hey, you two." Chrom said walking up "Go and enjoy the party, Christmas only comes once a year."

"Yeah!" Henry popped out from behind Chrom, "You don't want to be so sad that you missed Christmas that it'll CAWS your death! Nyhahahaha!"

Robin chuckled softly, then sighed contently. It made Robin happy that this was the Christmas that the tactician could remember, because it was the one that mattered the most.

. . .

Happy holidays everyone, be safe and see you all next year!
