Aftershock

"Mary-Margaret I'm sorry." He reaches for me but, I can't touch him. I can't let him touch me.

I feel his fingers against mine warm, inviting fingers that usually intertwine with mine so easily. But, that feels like a life-time ago back when there was no curse, no affair and a time when the dejected man struggling to keep up with me. The man I knew as Charming my husband would never lie to me.

My hands snap back sharply and I gasp out words I thought I could never say to the man I pledged eternity to.

"Don't touch me. Not now." I cannot process this after laying my deepest desire at his feet, He had looked lovingly into my eyes, told me what an amazing mother I would make to a child just not with him. Blow number one. Then after he saw the bewilderment, he went for the jugular. He couldn't have a baby with me. HE COULDN'T EVEN LEAVE WITH ME. Not. Not without dying.

I walk back to camp and I busy myself collecting firewood, washing coconut shells anything just to avoid his desperate eyes pleading with me to talk to him.

"Talk to him". Our daughter pleads.

"He…" "Emma. I".

"Hook, Neal I have to discuss battle plans with you." The stubborn child makes gestures to the Pirate and my beloved Grandson's father.

"EMMA RUTH. Do not do this to me!" My shout turns into a faded whisper as she merely looks at me with those "Sorry Mommy I had to eyes" and leads the men away leaving myself and David alone.

"I'm not doing this!"

"Snow please." He stands in front of me blocking my way not aggressively never aggressively but, enough to piss me off.

"We have to talk about this".

"About what?"

"Come ON! What! How I knew you'd been hit protecting me but, you lied to my face anyway! How you wouldn't let me touch your sides even when I felt you shiver at night?"

"HOW YOU KISSED ME GOODBYE AND HELD OUR CHILD LIKE IT WAS THE LAST TIME AND WE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW!"

"Tell Henry. Tell him Grandpa loves him that's what you said."

"Snow you have to let me explain. I was trying to protect you all! Protect Henry!"

"Well it was going to be a little hard to do that, what with you being DEAD!"

"Don't pull that with me Snow."

"Excuse me?" My hands are on my hips and my eyes are on fire as his voice goes from pleading to serious.

"Don't PULL that with me! Not after Cora."

"CORA? CORA! YOU SWORE TO ME YOU'D ALWAYS STAND BY MY DECISION!"

"Your decision to kill her was a mistake I would never judge you for that. I love you and would never!"

"But, going to Regina." I start to soften as I hear the pain in his voice.

"Emma, Henry and you are my entire world." "HOW THE HELL DID YOU THINK I WOULD LIVE WITH MY WIFE WANTING TO KILL HERSELF?"

"Charming. I." "Hold me."

"I will find a way around this Snow I promise." He swears and murmurs into my ear. Kissing my head until I respond with my lips, I feel safe again.

"We will". "Together".

I wrote all of this apart from an addition to the penultimate sentence a few hours before I saw 3:07 "Dark Hollow" and before Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas blew me away again but, honestly when have they ever not blown me away? I think the sentence alone speaks for itself. Great job! Feel free to review if you wish it is as always appreciated!

P.S HE CALLED HER SNOW! SCREAMED IT! ALL IS RIGHT WITH MY SNOW AND CHARMING WORLD AGAIN!

P.S P.S SHE'S WILLING TO SPEND THE REST OF HER DAYS IN A TREEHOUSE GLADLY DODGING POISON ARROWS AND LOST BOYS. I can't be the only one who put my hand on my heart and sighed at that.
