My very first fanfiction! Yay! This is about my FF character, Lily Nightfang. She will be talking in the form of journal entries about her missions and adventures and even conversations and moments with other popular CN characters. So, without any further delay...

Here's chapter 1!

"Lily! Izzy! Let's get a move on! Now isn't the time to grieve!" yells my older cousin, Ben Tennyson as he sprints over to me and my young sister, Izzy.

Our parents had just died. An enormous Cataplug came charging towards us and we were right in its path. I ducked and covered my little sister Izzy, bracing for death. That is, until our parents, Melanie and Kenneth Nightfang, got right in its way like idiots and got themselves killed. Then, while we lay there and begged for them not to leave us, our mother said;

"Izzy, Lily...listen to me, ok? You have to go and get out of here. It isn't safe anymore. Go and find your cousins. They know a safe house you can go to and stay at for a while. Can you-"

"What about you and daddy?" Izzy pleads.

I sigh and let out a small cry. Izzy was too young. Too young to understand death.

My mother turns her head and looks at my father. His eyes were closed.

She sighs and turns back to us, gasping for breath now. "Sweetie, I am afraid daddy and I won't be coming with you. Now go. We'll be fine-"

"Yes you are! C'mon Lily! You get daddy and I'll get mommy-"

Izzy is cut off by our mother, who was crying now too. She knew what was coming.

"Isabella! I told you to go with Ben! Please listen to me! I -"

She gasps really loud, sucking in a lot of air. Izzy cries even more and louder this time.

"We haven't much time. Lily, do you have The Daughter's Necklace?" she asks.

I nod, my eyes flooding with tears. I gently caress the silver heart pendant currently placed around my neck. At least I still had our precious family heirloom.

"Lily, Izzy. We love you and we always will. Your father and I will miss you dearly. We're sorry for all the mean and hurtful things we have said or done to you. We'll keep you close to our hearts forever and you keep us close to yours."

She gasps again, running out of oxygen.

"We love you too, mom." I say, literally crying a river.

She smiles, one of my most favorite smiles, then gasps one last time and passes on.

Ben and Gwen come up to us and hugs us tightly as we cry into their shoulders. I release from Ben's sympathetic grip and notice my mother's eyes are still open. I point out two of my fingers on my right hand, and gently close them.

There. Now she looked peaceful. Along with dad.

That was only 5 years ago.

I was 10 and Izzy was 9. Things have changed.

Things have changed... a lot.

Wow. Intense chapter, huh? Let me know what you thought in the reviews! Thanks!
