It was a rainy day in Violet City. Crystal looked outside her bedroom window to see that there was also some fog. She sighed inwardly, and shook her head. 'I guess this means I'm going to have to run quickly to the Day Care,' she thought. 'Oh well, I don't want to upset Mr. Earl, or the children.' She grabbed her white jacket, an umbrella, and her Pokémon and left her house. It was just a normal day for her as usual.
"Ah! Crystal, good you're here. The children are getting restless of staying inside all day. Could you please help them out?" Mr. Earl asked as soon as Crystal got through the door.
"Oh, of course Mr. Earl, why would I not?" Crystal answered back. She stepped into the next room where she saw the kids all groaning about how they couldn't run outside and play.
"Oh hi Crystal! We missed you!" "Miss Crystal we're so bored!" "I'm hungry…" "We just ate!" Were the things Crystal had heard as she put up her umbrella.
"Hello kids. You must be bored; here you can play with my Pokémon!" Crystal let out her Pokémon and sighed.
As odd as it seemed, Crystal was sick of having to work in the lab lately. Usually she loved staying there to learn more about Pokémon, but seeing as how Gold kept annoying her, she decided to give up trying. However, there was one thing that would make her love to stay there despite Gold. She blushed, and shook her head. 'No, you shouldn't think about that!' She thought. 'Blue likes him, so I don't know why I bother even try.'
A little girl with blonde hair tied up in pigtails ran up to her and tugged on her shirt. Crystal looked down and tilted her head to the side. "What's wrong, Karin?" I asked her, kneeling down as I said so. She had tears in her eyes as she said, "John stole my teddy bear!" I gave a small grin. "Alright, I'll help you. Let's go get him back."
Crystal thought today would be normal, but oddly enough, her thoughts were wrong.
